FULL PROJECT INFORMATION
The project promotes bidding through innovative solutions aimed at increasing energy efficiency and sustainability of European public buildings.
The project has a budget of 1,6 million Euros financed by the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme.
The main purpose of the PROBIS project is to promote innovative public procurement among European public purchasers, achieve significant energy savings as well as environmental improvements and the strengthening of a productive fabric in the field of sustainable construction and rehabilitation. This sector moves in Europe 2 trillion euros a year, approximately 19% of European GDP.
Within the Probis project the European public buyers have the possibility to join the European Platform for Innovation in sustainable public tenders coordinated by ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability’s network), for example in Andalusia, has led to the creation of the network of public buyers, with About 50 members. The project offers training tools specifically designed for public buyers.
The project supports the public purchase through four public purchase pilot projects: an office building and the Police station of Turin (Italy), a group of 54 apartments social housing in Treviglio (Lombardy); An office building in Miskolc (Hungary); And a group of 27 apartments social housing in Börlange (Sweden), based on a consultation procedure to the sector (open to any European entrepreneur through a market participation event in each region), possible innovative solutions Currently on the market.
